The Global Internally Displaced Persons Database was launched on December 10, 1999. "Inside you will find comprehensive coverage of internal displacement in eighteen countries." Includes regular updates to the database plus coverage of an additional seventeen countries by the end of 2000. The selection of sources is undertaken by the founders of the site the Norwegian Refugee Council.
